Do you know the Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden? It is located in Pasadena and used to be a private residence.
The original owner hired a first generation immigrant and Japanese landscape designer . . . the details are here. This is one of my best favorite spots in Los Angeles area, and I’m very thrilled to have the opportunity to capture this young couple for their wedding portraits in Japanese kimono at the garden.
With the professional kimono rental, hair and makeup service by Mrs. Mikko at Kimono no Kobeya, everything went so magical at the garden . . . Let the images speak for themselves.
This is the entrance gate for the zen garden. Do you believe in Red thread of fate? I do.
Renting some private time at the garden is possible. Please contact the garden for more details. For outdoor portrait sessions with such a beautiful natural lights, I highly recommend to book in Fall (October, November, December), and late spring (March, April, May, June) to avoid rainy season (usually from late December till the end of February) and hot summer time (August and early September) when the weather is too hot to wear the kimonos.
till next time.
