“Hello Akiko. I would like to surprise my wife (who is half Japanese) with a Kimono photoshoot.” that was the original inquiry I received from him. How sweet and exciting it sounds! 

… and see what happened.

How beautifully she wore the kimono and how naturally she could pose with such an elegant look. Definitely something to do with her DNA. I admired this young husband making this plan happen, and we created a very special memory album together to remember the special date, honor her part of her heritage, and enhance their love story. 
Special thanks to Mrs.Mikko at Kimono no Kobeya who provided the perfect blue kimono for her. It is always such a pleasure to work with Mrs.Mikko who has such a wide variety of Kimonos and also does hair&make up as well as Kitsuke(dressing).
